Gary D. Matt, D.D.S., M.S.



Dr. Gary Matt was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, and graduated from Marshalltown High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame in 1994. Dr. Matt earned his dental degree from the University of Iowa in 1998 and was awarded membership in the honorary dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

Following a Naval scholarship for his dental school training, Dr. Matt served in the United States Navy Dental Corps for seven years. He received his postgraduate endodontics residency training at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, along with his Masters Degree from George Washington University in 2003.

Dr. Matt began practicing in West Des Moines in 2008 following three years of private practice in the Quad Cities. He has taught as an adjucnt faculty member at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry since 2005.

Dr. Matt and his wife, Courtney, have three children and reside in Johnston. They are members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. In his spare time, Dr. Matt enjoys family activities, golfing, fishing, and Fighting Irish & Hawkeye sports.
